Okay,
I've pondered about the '7 1/2' for some days now. As I scrolled through them once more, I decided that I believe the one half is not only the most important to practice, but my blessing and my bane. In a consumer imperialist patriarchial society the ability to play is not held in high regard. But output is.

Play teaches us how to manage and transform our negative emotions and experiences. It supercharges learning, helps us relieve stress, and connects us to others and the world around us. Play fosters creativity, flexibility, and learning.

Play has been described as a flow state. When I flow, I feel confident, clear and motivated.

  1. Yes, yes. Play is vital to keeping our sanity and enjoying life and aren't we supposed to enjoy life, at least part of the time.

  2. yes play is without a doubt a most important habit to learn. My 3 year old daughter doesn't divide tasks up into play=fun, work=no fun. So often it is big fun to help. We planted 4 sixty foot rows of potatoes together she stuck with it 'cause it was big fun
